VALIDATION

Validating results obtained from microarray experiments is a critical step in the analysis of gene expression. Quantitative "real time" PCR is currently the method of choice for this step. The resources available for conducting real time PCR experiments are extensive as a number of companies are now providing instruments, reagents and primer design and synthesis services. There are also several academic websites that have been developed to assist investigators.
